July 2023 Meeting Recap

Our July meeting was held this past Friday, and it was yet another fantastic gathering! Here's a brief recap for those who couldn't make it.  

‣ Presentation: Mirela Rus, Break Time Croatia Nautical Bracelets – “How to sell a physical product in Croatia”. 

Some great highlights: 

✔️“Make sure locals are involved in the business”. 

✔️“Our name didn’t mean anything at the beginning. If you say something enough times, it becomes true. Now, we ARE a brand”.

✔️If considering a physical space, “Go at peak season, at every hour of the day. See the traffic in the area, and the kind of traffic. Are they transiting? Are they exploring?”

✔️For importing, recommends DHL and suggests avoiding FedEx.

✔️For shipping to customers, recommends DPD for within the EU, and Hrvatska Pošta for international.

‣ Member introductions: Piero Palevsky - PatientPoint, and Tanja Polegubić – Saltwater. 

In other news! ‣ The website will be launched within the next 2 weeks.

‣The bank account for the udruga will be opened within the next 10 days.

‣Kent Pepper is keeping an Excel list of all recommendations made within our group.

‣We are seeking an accountant to do a Q&A. Contact Geoff Bratton if you can refer someone!

‣Fedja from Smartspace recommended rescheduling the meetup for a day other than Friday.
