February 2024 Meeting Recap

We had an amazing turnout for our monthly meeting! ‣ Robyn Knezovich, owner of Omega Financial. Company structures in Croatia.

Robyn outlined the differences between obrt, jdoo and doo including their setup, liabilities, start-up capital, taxes, and requirements

‣A few highlights from the Q&A:

✔️The tax office does not care about the number of hours you bill on the invoice.

✔️Your company must be open for 1 full tax year before it qualifies for loan consideration.

✔️If buying a company, make sure it is a healthy one by checking with the tax office.

✔️Fiscalization is required for all credit card and cash payments.

✔️If a director dies, then the company goes to the next of kin.

✔️Non-taxable dividends, stipends, and bonuses are capped per person, not per company.
